A participatory celebration of a neighborhood miracle: the local take-out joint created by The Hinterlands in Play House as part of Border Blast 2018 & 2019 and the Hamtramck Neighborhood Arts Festival. Take Out Take Down is a friendly competition between two restaurants on either side of Detroit’s municipal border racing to provie the perfect take out order. It featured in-restaurant correspondents, a hungry audience of cheerleaders at Play House, community-sourced flags and trophies, live sports commentary, and more.
